Kentucky head coach Joker Phillips explains the process by which he'll determine the Cats' starting quarterback.

LEXINGTON, Ky. - Kentucky quarterbacks Morgan Newton and Maxwell Smith will get the majority of the snaps in the Cats' first scrimmage of fall camp on Saturday, head coach Joker Phillips said on Tuesday.

Phillips also said that the two freshmen, Patrick Towles and Jalen Whitlow, will get equal reps in the scrimmage.

The Cats' head coach said they'll evaluate each QB's performance in the scrimmage and go from there.
