Jobless Rates Down in November

Kentucky's unemployment rate went from 9.6% to 9.4%
Kentucky's unemployment picture improved in November.

The state says the jobless rate was 9.4%. It had been 9.6% in October. Kentucky now has a total of one-point-eight million people with jobs.

Employment actually declined in six of the state's eleven major job sectors. But it went up enough in the other five, to offset the losses. There were declines in manufacturing and construction, but increases in trade, transportation, and utilities.
