The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet announced Wednesday that the Jessamine County Fiscal Court will receive $248,600.00 in County Road Aid emergency funds for slip and slide repair on various county roads.

The county roads serve numerous residences in Jessamine County.

The replacement will make it safer for school buses and other vehicles.

“It is important that we help communities fund emergency repairs to local roadways, because those routes are vital links to the state’s transportation network,” Transportation Secretary Mike Hancock said. “Solid transportation infrastructure is vital in Jessamine County and across the Commonwealth”.

Jessamine County is responsible for administering the work.
