The state just announced it was extending a road closure in Jessamine County.

The section of Chrisman Mill Road (KY 1541) that was shut down to traffic this week was supposed to reopen Friday afternoon.

The state later said the area between mile points 3.4 to 3.5 would remain closed until further notice.

The closing is in place as crews repair the stretch of road.

Drivers will still be able to access KY 1541 via the north or south intersection at Sulpher Well Pike.
