Investigators say a kitchen fire is to blame for the evacuation of a Lexington apartment complex Monday afternoon.

Lexington Firefighters say it started on the second floor of the Briarwood Apartments on Centre Parkway.

Officials say they were relieved the fire was contained to just one apartment.

Firefighters say no one was hurt in the fire.
