Skies will remain partly sunny across central Kentucky, with extra cloud cover in eastern parts of the Commonwealth this afternoon.  Highs will peak in the upper 70s.  Scattered, hit-or-miss showers and thunderstorms will develop, especially to the east of I-75 this afternoon, with the best chance for thunderstorms in far eastern Kentucky.  Tonight, patchy fog will return to many areas.  On Thursday, only an isolated shower or thunderstorm will be possible in far eastern Kentucky.  A significant warm-up will take us to near 90 for Memorial Day weekend, which will be our hottest since September of last year.  Most areas will be dry from Thursday through Monday, although a very isolated thunderstorm or two will be possible each day, primarily over the mountains near the Virginia and Tennessee state lines.  Thunderstorm chances will increase in the lower elevations of central Kentucky by Tuesday of next week.
