An ice cream truck driver in Lexington is accused of sexually abusing young girls.

Lewis Street is accused of sexually assaulting four girls all under the age of 12.

Police said he admitted to having sexual contact with the young girls.

Police say that none of the reported assaults happened while Street was selling ice cream.

Some people who live in the Cambridge Drive area where he drove his ice cream truck and shocked and disgusted to hear of his arrest.

“Any adult that's in a role where children should be able to trust them, that's what makes it that much worse,” said Heather Davidson, mother of three.  “He wasn't just a stranger walking down the street and snatching little kids, he was someone that made a little kid trust him enough to come to him.”

Street is innocent until proven otherwise.

He’s due back in court Wednesday, August 20th.
