LEXINGTON, Ky. (February 19, 2013) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Department of Highways, announces that temporary lane closures will be in effect today for Interstate 64 in Woodford County. The closures are necessary for pothole repair work.
Work will be performed
- Tuesday, February 19 – 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The location for the work on Interstate 64 westbound will be mile point 65. The left (fast) lane will be closed for work first. After those repairs are completed, the right (slow) lane will be closed for work.
In addition, repairs for potholes will take place on the ramp from Exit 65. The ramp will remain open and work will be done from the shoulder area.
All scheduled work is subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet asks motorists to be aware of the work zone and to utilize safe driving habits when traveling near the work area.
