Hundreds of Teens Without A Christmas Present

Santa’s Kids, an organization that helps make sure every child has a present to open on Christmas, has more than 190 teenagers who still need a sponsor.

They said the hardest children to take care of are usually the 5th through 10th graders.

“When it comes to teenagers, they're the hardest to buy for anyway,” Heather Pritchett, a member of Santa’s Kids said. “So being able to take care of them is actually the hardest, but it's the most fulfilling.”

A mom of two teenagers in Lexington said she won’t be able to buy her kids Christmas presents this year.

“When you try so hard,” she said, “And you get absolutely no where. And then Christmas comes up and you see other kids shopping and parents shopping and your kids are watching that... It's very hard. It’s very very hard.”

Santa’s Kids are still taking donations. They will deliver the presents to the children on Christmas Eve.

If you would like to donate, call Carol Hope at 859-368-2634 or Heather Pritchett at 502-514-1228.
