Hundreds Spend Day On Airport Runway

        Hundreds were out walking, riding bikes and even roller skating on the auxiliary runway of the Blue Grass Airport on Saturday for the third annual '2nd Sunday at the Airport.'

        The event is put on by 'Get Healthy Kentucky,' who promotes people going out and being active.

        The day featured a number of activities including  a 5k marathon, the start official start of the Blue Grass State Games and even an appearance from Jared Fogel from the 'Subway' commercials.

        Vendors were also on hand selling food, arts and crafts and even massages. There were even helicopters and airplanes on display as well.

Actually the correct distance for a marathon is 26 miles and 385 yards not 266 plus miles. Just saying....

There is no such thing as a 5K marathon. A 5K is 3.1 miles. A marathon is 266.2 miles. Just saying.
