How You Can Help Expand Music Archive At Lexington Public Library

The Lexington Public Library is collecting recordings of local music for an archive that will be available to listeners at the main branch on Main Street.
Soon you'll be able to enjoy more of the music of Kentucky at the Lexington Public Library.

The library is working with 'CD Central' and 'POPS Resale' to collect recordings of local music for an archive that will be available to listeners at the main branch in downtown Lexington.

The music will be in the 'Kentucky Room.'

About 150 titles have already been donated, made up mostly of 1980's and 1990's alternative.

The goal is to collect all genres of music.  And, it's not just recordings.

There is also a desire for album art and music posters.

Donations may be made in any format.

To make a donation, drop off music at 'CD Central,' 'POPS Resale' or the Central Library at 140 East Main Street.
