How many Lexington firefighters are Veterans?

Lexington Fire Captain Rob Larking, a Veteran himself, decided to take a survey.

He found that of the 577 Fire Department employees, 101 are Veterans.  That's about 18-percent.

A display board at Fire Station Number One shows the Veterans and where they served.

Fire Chief Keith Jackson is among the group.
