House & Senate Give Final Approval For University Projects

It looks like you'll see a new and improved Commonwealth Stadium.

The House and Senate Wednesday gave final approval to a bill allowing six state universities to issue their own bonds, with the money going to construction projects.

For UK, that would mean the ability to spend $110 million on stadium renovations.

No general fund money would be used for the work.

The Governor still needs to sign the bill.

And in the past, he has said he supports it.
