Laurel County deputies say that a man came home to find two intruders already there.

Investigators say the man was returning from taking his wife to work, when he found two men in hoodies in his home.

They say the suspects forced the door open and were piling up items in the house to take.

When the two men saw the owner, they ran from the house and took the owners vehicle.

The owner fired at the men as they left.

Deputies have not been able to recover the vehicle - a yellow H3 Hummer - or locate the two suspects.

They are asking for anyone with information on the crime to contact them.
