House Burns Down In Lexington

A home on Elam Village Drive burned to the ground Wednesday morning.
Fire investigators are looking into a fire at a vacant home in Lexington Wednesday.
The fire started just before 1:30 a.m. at the home on Elam Village Drive.
Firefighters were unable to keep it from burning down.
The owner of the property is a retired Lexington firefighter.
Gregg Elam said his tenant moved out two weeks ago and he was preparing the home for his son to move into.
Elam said the property has been in his family since 1952.
He said he has no idea what could have started the fire.
