Holiday Fashion Show To Benefit Kentucky Theatre

Holiday Fashion Show To Benefit Kentucky Theatre

A night of fashion, french cuisine and a classic film will benefit the historic Kenctucky Theatre in downtown Lexington.
A fashion show to benefit the historic Kentucky Theatre will take place within that very venue on Thursday, November 14th.

The fundraiser entitled "Magical Evening" is a joint effort of the theatre and Lexington's Bella Rose boutique.

The boutique will provide models for the holiday-themed fashion show which is set to be announced by Bella Rose owner Betty Spain.

Former Lexington-Fayette Urban County Council member Isabel Yates is also scheduled to speak regarding the theater and it's renovation fundraising process.

The theater first opened in 1922 and, after being damaged by fire in 1987, reopened in 1992. The Friends Of The Kentucky Theatre are raising money to help renovate the aging parts of the theater and to allow the Main Street staple to keep it's historic charm while including modern improvements.

Thursday's fundraising event starts at 6 pm with the fashion show. A showing of the Academy Award winning film "Amelie" begins at 7.

Tickets are $25 and include catered refreshments from a la lucie, Le Deauville, and Portofino.
