A man was arrested after police said he left an accident scene in Lexington.

The accident happened just before 3:00am Friday on Liberty Road.

Police said the driver crashed into a telephone pole, then ran off.

The pole caused downed wires.

Police said they found the heavily-intoxicated driver a few streets away on Stonewood Lane.

Kentucky Utilities sent crews to the scene to repair the damaged pole.
