An historic landmark in downtown Cynthiana caught fire Wednesday afternoon.
The Cynthiana Fire Department said 'Biancke's Restaurant' caught fire around 2:30 p.m.
Investigators said the restaurant was open at the time of the fire. Everyone got out safely.
Fire investigators said it appeared the fire began on the first floor near the front of the building on South Main Street.
The cause is still under investigation.
Investigators said there was extensive damage to the first and second floors of the building.
Biancke's Restaurant has been in business since 1894.
