Heavy Rains Hurting KY Corn Production

Less than five percent of crops have been planted in western Kentucky so far this season.
     Heavy rains are drenching the soil and delaying corn planting in Kentucky.

     A University of Kentucky Cooperative Extension agent told the Paducah Sun that less than five percent of crops have been planted in western Kentucky.

     If planting is delayed for the next ten days, experts say farmers could lose one bushel per acre per day.
