A firefighter became overheated fighting a grass fire that quickly spread with the help of strong afternoon winds in Bourbon County.
A firefighter became overheated Thursday afternoon fighting a grass fire in Bourbon County.

It was the worst combination for firefighters.  It was too hot, too dry and too windy.

A grass fire quickly got out of control and threatened a house and two barns.

Fire crews from Montgomery County were called-in to help fight the fire and protect surrounding structures.
