Health Departments Across Kentucky Making Cuts

Health Departments Across Kentucky Making Cuts

Health departments throughout Kentucky are going to be taking a hit with limited state and local funds.
Many Kentucky health departments will be cutting hours soon to compensate for lack of funding.

The Lexington Herald-Leader reports that workers in Franklin County will have to take 12 unpaid days, while workers in Anderson County will go from work weeks of 37.5 hours to 34.5 hours.

Fayette County officials said they'll be laying off 25 workers.

The cuts are due to a drop in state and local funding.
