The Fayette County Health Department has closed "Riptide on the River" after receiving a complaint.

Health inspectors said someone complained of possible sewage contamination at the restaurant on Old Richmond Road near the Kentucky River.

The department said it did find the potential for sewage contamination along with other problems involving food storage.

The department gave "Riptide" a score of 60% and said it will go back Thursday to inspect the restaurant again.

It needs a score of 85% or better to reopen.
