Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond said Tuesday that the Men's Rugby Team is on 'Interim Suspension' after an alleged hazing incident.

The school did not provide any details into the reported incident.

EKU said the team can't practice, play games, hold meeting or social functions until further notice.

The Men's Rugby Team is a registered student organization at EKU.

Dr. Mike Reagle, the Associate Vice-President for Student Affairs at EKU said the school takes every allegation seriously and is thoroughly investigated.

Dr. Reagle said once it was determined that there was credible evidence to the hazing allegation, immediate action was taken with the interim suspension.

The University Hazing Investigation Committee will continue to investigate.
