Harrodsburg Police said a man who kicked his way out of a police cruiser is now back in jail.

Investigators said they picked up Austin Howell Tuesday for violating a Domestic Violence Order (DVO).

Officers said they took him to the hospital before going to jail, for being intoxicated.

According to Police, Howell was alone in the back of a police cruiser for a brief time and he kicked out a window and escaped.

Police said Howell turned himself-in and was taken to jail.
