Seven-month old Colton Deringer of Harrodsburg has been in the fight for his life since he was born.

Deringer has Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome, which has left only half of his heart working.

Deringer has already had two operations up in Ann Arbor, Michigan a the University of Michigan Children's Hospital, and is in need of one last surgery.

However the hospital bills are piling up for Colton's family, which is why on Saturday they held a Bluegrass concert and Chili Feast at the Harrodsburg Opera House.

Four Bluegrass bands from across the commonwealth played at the benefit, including 'Royal Blue,' 'Dix River Crossing,' 'Brushfire' and Stringtown.

If you were unable to make it out to the benefit you can still donate to Colton's cause.

A fund has been set up at the Whitaker Bank of Harrodsburg under the names Colton Derringer and his mother Jacklyn.
