Group Wants Gun In Jessamine Co. Schools

The Republican Party of Jessamine County said it wants teachers and administrators to have guns in the classroom.
A Jessamine County group says it has an idea to keep schools safe.

The Republican Party of Jessamine County said it wants teachers and administrators to have guns in the classroom. The group called it a commonsense safety measure in school buildings.

"I think the bottom line is we should have our public policy informed by adults making fact based discussions, and not bed wetters who break into tears at the sight of a toy that looks like a gun," said David Adams, a member of the Republican Party of Jessamine County.

The group plans on introducing the idea at a school board meeting Monday night.
