Group Of Faith Leaders Protest Pipeline

A group of faith leaders and environmental activists gave a petition to the Governer's office asking for a stop to the Bluegrass Pipeline.
A group of faith leaders and environmental activists were at the State Capitol Tuesday morning, protesting the proposed Bluegrass Pipeline through central Kentucky.

They handed the Governor's secretary a petition with more than 36,000 signatures.

The petition asked for an environmental study to be done on the proposed pipeline before it is approved.

Secondly, the petition asked the General Assembly to clearly state that private companies, such as the pipeline companies, cannot use eminent domain to acquire land.
