Developer Dudley Webb said Friday that groundbreaking on the CentrePointe project in downtown Lexington could happen in October of this year to accommodate several tenants.

Since 2008 when buildings were torn down to make way for CentrePointe, the project has undergone several design changes.

The latest design features three towers instead of the original single tower plan.  The plan includes a 150,000 square foot office building, a Jeff Ruby's Steakhouse, 286-hotel rooms and 85-apartments.  There would also be a 3-story underground parking garage.

Developer Dudley Webb told ABC 36 News that the next step will be to get the plan approved by the Courthouse Area Design Review Board.  That meeting is scheduled for August 21, 2013.
