Witness American Civil religion in action. It is your civic duty to be a good citizen and pray with the Governor. Good American's pray when government officials call them into civic duty. Religion in America is no longer a private matter. It is part of being an American. Freedom of religion? No one is making you go to church, but like Rick Santorum says he almost threw up when he heard Kennedy say America would not be run by the dictates of the pope. Those days are over. American Civil religion is now a nationalistic duty. Disagree with me? One nation under god devisable.
