Governor Steve Beshear had minor eye surgery Thursday, according to his office.

It was the third procedure on the same eye in four months.

The initial procedure in November was to repair a detached retina.

A follow-up procedure was recently performed to deal with scar tissue that formed after the first operation.

The exact nature of Thursday's procedure was not released.

Governor Beshear is expected to return to work on Monday, according to his office.
