Governor Steve Beshear wants lawmakers back in Frankfort to resolve legislative redistricting before budget talks begin in January.

Beshear and top lawmakers have yet to settle on a date.

Redistricting happens every ten years because of population changes recorded by the US Census Bureau.

The Kentucky Supreme Court struck down lawmakers' initial redistricting plan last year forcing them to start over.
