It could be a sign of good news for those looking for work.
Goodwill Industries of Kentucky hits a record when it comes to finding Kentuckians jobs.
Goodwill placed more than 2,500 people in jobs this fiscal year.
That's a 36%increase over the 2010 placement numbers.
This is the highest job placement number goodwill has seen since it began helping people find work in 1923.
Goodwill officials say the dramatic rise can be contributed to a stabilized economy.
"Several of the companies GTS works with, those companies stopped using temporary workers because they didn't need extra people... the manufacturing was down. But now that the economy is turning around, they are starting to request our staffing company to provide workers for them again," says Erin Gold, Vice President of Goodwill Industries of Kentucky.
Among the career fields Goodwill places people in are manufacturing, landscaping, and clerical jobs.
