Get Your Money Back

The Better Business Bureau offers tips to Sun Spa Tanning customers after the business unexpectedly closed its doors.
After a Lexington tanning salon closed its doors without warning, many people who had bought lengthy packages in advance were left asking, how can I get my money back?

Heather Clary with the Better Business Bureau said she has received several complaints about Sun Spa Tanning, which is located on Mapleleaf Drive. Clary offered several tips on how customers can get their money back.

"One thing that we might suggest is that if you used a credit card to purchase a package of which to have monthly charges taken, or a debit card of some kind with your bank. You might contact your financial institution to see about possibly stopping these or disputing the charge. You could always file a complaint with the Attorney General's Consumer Protection Office. Other than that the only options we can think of at this point is to possibly consider your legal avenues, such as small claims court," said Clary.

The BBB is available to answer consumer questions every Wednesday during the ABC 36 noon newscast.
