The Playground Company, a youth theater wing of Actors' Playhouse of Georgetown, presents Rudyard Kipling's "The Just So Stories" May 16-18.
The one act play is based on a series of short stories by Kipling, adapted into a play by Joseph Robinette.
The play centers around Elsie Kipling, Rudyard's daughter, and her friends as they act out the stories.
The Playground Company is made up of young actors aged 18 and under. In fact, the whole production - on stage, behind the scenes, marketing - has all be handled by the youth of the company, the only exception being the play's director and assistant director.
Actors' Playhouse of Georgetown, a non-profit, said in a release that it's dedicated to teaching youth about all aspects of theater.
There will be three performances of "The Just So Stories"; Friday at 7 pm, Saturday at 7 pm, and Sunday at 3 pm. The show is appropriate for all ages.
