Georgetown Police are trying to determine who drove a Scott County Animal Control vehicle into a home on Showalter Drive overnight Tuesday.

Police have charged Animal Control Officer Leitha Burton with a DUI after she was found at the scene standing outside of her vehicle.

Burton told police she wasn't the driver of the vehicle, but rather her friend Kya McIntosh. Police say Mcintosh was not at the scene of the accident and has not been found yet.

According to court records Burton was also convicted of public intoxication in 2012 after she threw a beer bottle at a Lexington Police officer during the University of Kentucky championship celebration.

The owner of the home, Mike Barker, says he was awake and sitting in his living room when the vehicle drove into his home.

He says the damage will cost about twenty-thousand dollars.

Barker says he will not pursue any type of lawsuit in the matter.
