A domestic disturbance call turned into an accident for three vehicles in Georgetown, two of them belonging to members of law enforcement, according to officials.

They said an officer for the police department was responding to the call Thursday afternoon when their cruiser slammed into a truck hauling around a ton of fertilizer. The collision happened at the McClelland Circle and Paris Pike intersection.

Investigators said the force of the impact caused the police car to careen into the driver's side of a Scott County deputy's cruiser, which was sitting at the stoplight.

The Sheriff's deputy and truck driver were not hurt.

The police officer was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
