Georgetown residents can now buy packaged liquor within the city.

A wet/dry vote Tuesday determined that the area will allow businesses to sell liquor as well as beer and wine.

In the vote, 3175 voted yes for the 'wet' status, while 1258 voted against it.

This is a change from the city's 'moist' status before, where they only allowed beer and wine sales, as well as liquor drinks in restaurants.
