Police: Georgetown College Put On Lockdown After Armed Robbery

Georgetown College was put on lock down Thursday night after police said two students were robbed at gunpoint.

Investigators said it happened around 7:00 outside of the Lambda Chi Alpha house.

According to police, a man approached the students and demanded their money and cell phones.

Officers said they complied, and the robber took off.

According to police, officers and K9 were tracking the man when they found the stolen wallets and cell phones in a field.

Police are still looking for the robber.

The college lifted the lock down around 7:30 p.m.
