Frankfort Police received a report of a robbery at the Swifty Gas Station located at 289 Versailles Road.

Responding officers were told that one perpetrator approached an employee and asked to purchase a pack of cigarettes.

When the employee turned to bend down to get the cigarettes out of a storage container the robber pushed an object (believed to be a knife) against his back and forcibly removed money from the pockets of the victim employee.
The perpetrator then fled on foot, with an undetermined amount of cash, toward the right side of the building and down Lincoln Drive. Police established a perimeter and searched the area with K-9 units but the suspect was not located following the robbery Wednesday evening.

Perpetrator is described as follows:

White/male;  approximately 6’ tall with a light complexion  wearing a blue University of Kentucky hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and a black “beanie” type cap.

Frankfort Police are asking anyone that may have information on this robbery to call them at 502 875-8523.

Information may also be given anonymously by calling Frankfort Crime Stoppers at 502 875-8648 or on the web at www.frankfortcrimestoppers.com
