Garrard County Opens 3 Warming Stations

In Garrard County, a boil water advisory coupled with power outages has prompted the opening of three warming stations.

People who need to get out of the cold are invited to visit shelters for warmth, coffee, and water.

Officials say the electric company is working around the clock to get the power back on.

The shelters are at the following locations in Lancaster:

The Lancaster Baptist Life Center at 201 Richmond St.

The Forks of Dix River Baptist Church at 5764 Lexington Rd.

Lancaster Methodist Church at 200 Stanford St.
