Funeral Arrangements Pending For Knox Co. Fire Victims

Funeral arrangements are pending for seven victims of a house fire in Knox county over the weekend.

Investigators said a Saturday morning fire killed two adults, including a pregnant woman, and five children ages 10 months to 3 years old. Two of the children were friends spending the night. 

Amy Weddle, a clerk at the J&G Market convenience store in the tiny town of Gray, said she's had calls from across the country pledging money for a funeral fund she set up.

Eric Grisell, owner of Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home in Corbin, says he is donating services to one of the families.

Meanwhile, on Monday inspectors continued to comb through the wreckage of the house gutted in the fire. A state official said it could take a while to determine the cause.
