A fundraiser Thursday night raised money to help in the search for a missing Lexington man.

Alex Johnson was last seen December 20th at his home on North Hanover Drive.

His family said he was on the phone with his girlfriend when someone came to the door.

That's the last time Johnson was seen or heard from.

The money raised at the Mellow Mushroom restaurant will help pay for a billboard that was put up in Nicholasville.

Friends said it will also help pay for search dogs that have been used.

For its part, Mellow Mushroom donated 15% of its sales Thursday to Johnson's family.
