On Thursday, Governor Steve Beshear announced plans from Funai Electric Company to bring a subsidiary company to Lexington.

Up to 50 people are expected to be hired to work at the Funai Lexington Technology Corporation, with an average wage of $100,000 per year.

The company's mission in Fayette County will involve the research and development of inkjet and microfluidic technologies.

It will set up shop on the Lexmark campus, bringing $4.2 million to the Commonwealth.
