Today marks the 33rd birthday for Alex Johnson, who's been missing since December 20.

His friends are holding a birthday celebration in his honor tonight at 7 at the Blue Stallion Brewing Company on Third Street.

The event will include a balloon release complete with a vigil, happening at 8.

Johnson's friends said they want to keep his name and face out there, hoping he will return home.

Alex Johnson was last heard from at his home last month on North Hanover Avenue, when he told his girlfriend on the phone that he needed to answer a knock at the door.
