Frankfort Police: Fast Food Worker Charged With Filing Bogus Theft Report

Frankfort Police said that Amanda Dyer, 28, of Frankfort, reported that she had been robbed at gunpoint at the Sonic Drive-in where she works on Louisville Road.

Police said she told them a man robbed her and ran into the wooded area behind the restaurant with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Investigators said Dyer made the whole story up.

Police said she was charged with Falsely Reporting an Incident and Theft by Unlawful Taking over $500, which is a felony.

Dyer was lodged in the Franklin County Regional Jail.
