Frankfort PD: Man Arrested for Attempted Stabbing

Frankfort police said they were called to the 600 block of North Lime Street just after 1 Thursday morning after someone reported an attempted stabbing.

Officers showed up and found 32-year-old Tiffany Thompson standing in the home's from yard, pointing to a man who was running away.

Police said they briefly searched the neighborhood and spotted James Montgomery, 42, about a block away as he tried to hide behind a house on Phillips Street.

Thompson said Montgomery worked his away into her mother's home and tried to stab her in the stomach, threatening to kill everyone if they called the police.

Thompson was not hurt.

Officers found a pocket knife on Montgomery and charged him with alcohol intoxication, disorderly conduct and assault.
