Frankfort Drug Bust Nets Pills, Cash And Lands Four People In Jail

Frankfort Police said a search warrant at an apartment led to the discovery of prescription pills, more than $20,000 in cash which resulted in four arrests.
Frankfort Police said on June 13th, officers executed a search warrant at Prince Hall Village Apartments.

Police said the warrant was the result of an extensive Frankfort Police Department investigation into suspected drug trafficking in that area.

Investigators said a substantial amount of prescription pills and more than $20,000 in cash were seized in the search.

Police said four people were arrested:
  • Antonio Edwards, 37, of Detroit, Michigan.  He was charged with four counts of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance and Contempt of Court.  Police said the charges were the result of a 2012 investigation.
  • James Douglas, 28, of Detroit, Michigan.  He was charged with Possession of Marijuana.
  • Omar William Bridgeforth, 33, of Detroit, Michigan.  He was charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, 1st Offense.
  • Stephanie Lynn Maupin (Jackson), 31, of Frankfort.  She was charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense.
Police said all four suspects were lodged in the Franklin County Regional Jail.

Police said the investigation was still ongoing and that additional charges are pending.
