A former Wayne County clerk is accused of forgery.

Investigators from the Attorney General's Office arrested Jennifer Turpin of Monticello Thursday morning.

Turpin is accused of forging the County Clerk's signature on a title for a car sold on Craigslist to someone in Maryland.

Turpin is now Office Manager for Somerset Auto Auction.

According to the Attorney General she's already on probation for filing false tax returns and abuse of the public trust.
