Former President Makes Emergency Stop in Kentucky

A plane carrying George W. Bush had to land in Louisville after smoke was smelled in the plane's cockpit.
     Former President George W. Bush stopped in Kentucky last night, but it wasn't planned.

      He had a bit of a scare in the air overnight.

     Mr. Bush was on a Gulfstream-Four plane flying from Philadelphia to his home in Dallas, when the pilot smelled smoke in the cockpit.

     The plane was diverted to Louisville where the pilot landed safely.

     A spokesman for the former President said Mr. Bush arrived home early this morning.

     No word yet on what caused the issue.
