Former Officer Pleads Guilty

A former Harrodsburg city police officer pleads guilty to more than 140 counts of rape, sodomy and sexual abuse. The charges against 31-year-old Jason Elder involve a girl who was 14 at the time. Elder was indicted on the charges last year. According to the Mercer circuit clerk's office, he accepted a plea agreement today and will spend three years in prison. Elder will also have to register as a convicted sex offender.
